As part of the build up to the Asia Games, the Singapore National Women’s 7s team will depart for Sabah this Thursday to participate in the Asia Pacific Women’s 7s held in Kota Kinabalu from 29 October to 31 October 2010.
Expected to attract over 500 elite rugby players and officials, the 3-day tournament will see some of the best rugby teams in the region fight it out for top honors in three categories – Asian Rugby Sevens Series (Men), Asia Pacific Women’s Sevens and the 10th Invitational Clubs Sevens (Borneo 7s)
The other women’s teams from the Asia and the Pacific Rim which have been confirmed for the women's tournament are Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Malaysia, Thailand and Kazakhstan.
