The Singapore National Women's 15s selectors have shortlisted the 28 woman Singapore National Women's 15s Training Squad for the Women's Rugby World Cup 2010 Qualifiers for Asia which will be held in Singapore in November 2009.
The Qualifiers will see Singapore vy against Kazakhstan, Japan and Hong Kong for the single seat allocated to Asia at the Women's Rugby Would Cup 2010 to be held in London. More details of the Women's Rugby World Cup Qualifiers will be released at the press conference to be held by Singapore Rugby later this month.
Seperately, in a significant move by Singapore Rugby to developing the standard of its national teams, a first ever Women's 15s Singapore A Squad will be shortlisted this weekend during the domestic Super 15s games which will double as trials for those hoping to make the Singapore A Team. The Singapore A team is set to play against Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur in early September.
