The Hong Kong National Women's 7s team dropped by in the republic for some friendly games as part of their preparations for the upcoming Rugby World Cup 7s qualifiers in Hong Kong in October.

The visitor's first night here was filled with games against local clubs Blacks RFC and Bucks RFC. Teams got a good run of games with the Hong Kong National Team demonstrating that they were on track in their preparations for the qualifiers.

This was no leisure tour as the HK team was back on the pitch against the Singapore National Women's 7s Training Squad within 15 hours. Both teams are four weeks away from the RWC Qualifiers which will see Asian teams contend for 3 places allocated to Asia in IRB's Rugby World Cup 7s 2009 which will be held in Dubai.
