Singapore Announce 7s Squad for Hong Kong

8 March 2013

Singapore announced their National Women's 7s Squad for the  Hong Kong Women's Sevens 2013 which will run alongside the men's Hong Kong Sevens.

Despite having been passed over by IRB as a venue for hosting the Women's Sevens World Series, the Hong Kong Women's Sevens has been the premier international women's sevens event for the past 15 years and the young Singapore squad will be sure to face stiff competition from some world class women's teams who will be stopping over in Hong Kong enroute to Guangzhou for the third leg of the Women's Sevens World Series.

Australia, the United States, Canada, South Africa and the Netherlands have confirmed that they will be taking part. Hosts Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Singapore and France make up the rest of the competition, which will be played at Hong Kong Football Club. The Cup final will be played at Hong Kong Stadium on the opening night of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.

This year's squad sees the inclusion four debutantes Goh Xinyi, Clara Ko, Esther Tan and Teo Siew Huai.
