The women's rugby season in Singapore kicks off its season with the Guinness Singapore Rugby Club 7s this weekend.
The tournament will comprise eight teams vying for the Champions title, including the of the Jonah Jones women's 7s title holders, Royal Selangor Club, which also took part in the Guinness Singapore Rugby Women's XV Championships last year. Apart from the club teams from Singapore and Malaysia, the National University of Singapore will also feature in this year's 7s competition.
Fixtures released by the Singapore Rugby Union have the eight teams grouped into two pools which will play each other on a round robin basis to qualify for the Plate and Cup Semifinals.
Players keen to be shortlisted for the National Women's Training Squad will be looking to impress this weekend as selectors keeping their eyes peeled.
